The notebook is fine, but I was very disappointed that it doesn't stay open flat like a Moleskine or S & B...kind of a deal-breaker for me, unfortunately, as far as sketchbooks go. But it makes a nice notebook. Looks like your Midori stays open flat while sketching?

Observe Closely said...: Stays open flat while sketching? Yes and no. The handmade sig insert does but the Midori "Kraft" insert often does not, hence the little binder clip that you see in the upper right hand corner of this pic.

You mean that the whole leather cover of the Pelle won't stay open? That is definitely not a problem with the soft and floppy Midori!
